    Headlight Doors

    My 57 Skyliner has chrome headlight doors. Can anyone tell me if this was factory, dealer or aftermarket? Thanks

    They would not be original Ford, someone may have plated the original ones or found something that fits.

    Aftermarket, there were lots of dress-up items sold thru JCWhitney, Amquist, Warshawski, Western Auto, Pep boys ect.

    My 57 that was bought new by my uncle in 1957 has both chrome headlamps rings and taillamp housings. I have pictures of the car in 1958 with them, but the bill of sale I have does not mention them, so I am thinking either he or the dealer installed them afterwards.
