    Steering Column adjustments

    Hello,
I put a new steering box in my car over the weekend - it feels great.

The problem I have is there is too much space between my steering column(shifter etc) and the base of the steering wheel. How can I adjust the Steering column to move it closer to the wheel. The gap is pretty large.

I think this might also be affecting my brake light operation as only one works properly.
    Thanks

Loosen the clamp on the bottom of the steering shaft & the two phillips screws on the column under the dash, the take a large flat blade screw driver or pry bar and push the column up.
The push point will be where the column stops at the gear box.
I don't think this would affect your brake lights but can affect the horn.
