Adding Air Conditioning to a 1959 (don't know where this post belongs)
Received the kit from Terry at Jerry's. Really looks nice. Steve (my buddy worker) has the compressor mount and compressor installed. No big issues. Condenser mounted - looks great. Hoses installed through new holes. Really looking forward to see if the 3/8 drive belt will really drive the compressor. I'm ready to get the dash back in, but must get the new pad installed first.
Glad I didn't set a deadline for this project to be done - and glad I canceled all my car trips to swap meets and tours for year 2018. Told Steve, I would like to drive before the license runs out - December 2018. But if I don't what the hay.
Looking forward to the 2019 convention. Hope it's done by then. Not a slam-dunk - we got hit with a tornado June 30 - more than 100 trees down - none on the house, Thank God. Other setbacks include a fat lip from pa pi$$ed off wasp last night. Didn't miss a minute of work today. Not bad for an old f^rt about 80.
