    lock motor color

    What is the correct paint for lock motors, gloss or flat black? Are the end caps also painted? I also would like to know how many running 58's are left.

    The NOS motors I have seen were all gloss. Though a dirty gloss. May have been semi gloss.
    I have seen both painted ends, and not painted ends.
    When I rebuild the motors, I always clean up the ends and do not paint them. It looks much nicer and so far my customers agree.
