    Vent Window Adjustments

    Hello,
I want to fix the gaps related to my vent windows and the pillar/frame. The vent widnows line up nicely with the driver and passenger front windows but I have a decent size gap between the vent windows and the rubber molding on the roof along with the chrome trim on the pillar/frame. I know there are a few bolts to loosen on the doors to move things around but before I make things worse I figured I would ask someone who has done it already.

    Hope that is clear enough.
    Thanks

    How big are the gaps?
This can get very involved depending on how much the vent assembly
needs to be moved to close the gap. Assuming the door glass seals well
to the quarter window and roof rail w/s the vent can be moved quite a bit
and the edge of the door glass will still run well in its channel.
The shop manual shows all the adjustments available in detail.
I always mark or keep track of turns in or out from where I
    started.
The condition of the w/s matters alot, original or new.
The car I'm working on I started from scratch and the new roof rail
w/s needed a 1/4 shim to seal at the vent. The orginal was shimmed
    but not quite that much.
Looking at other cars can help show how it shoud be. I've only
had photos to go by but it helps.I just want it to be weather tight.
