Moving front seat back for more legroom

Just bought my first skyliner. I had always wanted one of these since I saw them as a kid. It is a 1958 silverstone blue and colonial white. I have joined the international club and just received the calendar and news letter. Great stuff.
My first request for help. I am 6' 8" tall and find the front seat room a little tight.
Is there any way to move the seat back. I was thinking of just drilling new holes further back, but there is a small hump about an inch long behind the rear seat bolt. If I move it back I will have to raise the seat to go over this hump. Unfortunately that will raise the seat and make a head room problem.
Is there any way to modify the seat track. Any ideas would be appreciated.
