    59 temperature sending unit

My 59 With 332 engine was missing the temperature sensor when I got it
I have ordered a new part, but I am not sure where to mount it.
There is a blind plug on top of the inlet manifold where it might fit,
    Somwhere in the bloc ?
I could make an adapter for insertion in lower radiator hose?
I can not find which way from the manual I have.
    An advice would be appreciated.

The sending unit would have been mounted in front of the bypass hose, if your manifold is original and its a 59 engine there would be a tee nipple coming out of the intake manifold and the sending
unit would thread into the top.
I think they make a replacement fitting but it would be hard to install with the manifold on the car.

    Thank You.
I can see it now when I study the manual closer.
There is just a plain pipe coming from the manifold. It must have been altered at a time.
I'll now have to find a way to add a tee.
