    1958 Ford Fairlane Skyliner weatherstripping

    Hi

Can anybody recommend where to buy complite weatherstrip kits for 58 Skyliner,.
I am restoring my car and now needed all strips and sealings.

Does anyone have experience with Kanter kits , Item #: 50553E?

Dennis Carpenter makes most all the weather stripping for these old Fords but I have found that you can get better deals from the Venders selling their products.
I use this guy he seams to be cheaper than most of the places that sell the Dennis Carpenter weather stripping. http://stores.ebay.com/vintagefordpartsrus/
Do some shopping, I don't want to bad mouth some of these places that sell the weather stripping but there a a lot places that ask too much for their products & they all come from the same supplier.

Most of the major restoration suppliers for retractable advertise in the Skyliner magazine. With membership in the IFRC you will receive the magazine as well as use of the clubs technical advisers. There is a wealth of knowledge in each issue.

If you are, or plan to, restore a retractable attending the national convention would be a wise investment. From advice to used or new parts you will find it there.

If possible I encourage the support of the companies that advertise in the newsletter. Doing business with those that do business with the IFRC just makes sense.

Feel free to give me a call anytime 701-527-2063 Dave.

I second Dave's comments on the benefits of becoming an IFRC member. Membership forms can be found here: http://www.skyliner.org/membership.html
