    58 diecast

Hello everyone. My dad and I have a 58 that is almost finished with restoration. I am looking for a functioning diecast model to match the car. I have looked everywhere on the internet and the only 58s I can find are convertibles and regular hard tops. Does anyone know of a company that has ever made 58 retractable with opening doors and a moving top?

Eric - Revell has made a 1/25th scale '59 retractable for decades, and Modelhaus.com has a few variations of the 1958 Ford, in resin instead of plastic, also in 1/25th, (you'll need to cut the roof, etc. off the '58). Revell made the '59 in 1/32nd scale also so make sure you get the proper scale. A few hours of "kit-bashing" will get you a '58 Skyliner with a working roof! The Revell '59's are all over ebay.
