I have a 59 retract with a 2 speed tranny that was recently rebuilt. After it sits for a few days fluid comes out the over flow and dip stick hole upon start up. Does anyone else have this problem? I was told by the rebuilder that the cause was from the all the fluid draining into the pan from the converter, and this was normal.

The fluid is not suposed to drain back from the converter. A properly functioning front pump will prevent this. Hope this helps.
