    backup lights

I would like to put on some backup lights on my "57. i have seen several kits available has anyone used these? how hard are they to install? Did they come from factory with the wires installed but without the light socket? I would think that running the wires from front to back would be the most difficult part if I used the kit.

I have hooked up back-up lights on a 57. It does take some doing. First you need to pick up your power from the taillight connection on the headlight switch. Then you feed wires to the neutral safety switch the back-up connections. Then you need to feed one of the wires to the trunk area. To do this you need to remove the threshold cover and lift the carpet up. The hard part is getting light socket that work with the housings. Ron Brenton
