hockey stick trouble

I am down to putting the trim on the rockers of my 58. I bought clips from Macs labeled clips for rocker trim 57-58. I have had then for some time. Yesterday I tried to attach the pieces. First the attaching tab were not fitting into the round holes in the rocker. When I thought they were attached I found they came loose pretty easily. Also the clips seem too short for the width of the trim. They snap in but are loose. Are there other clips for the trim? The ones used when I took the trim off had a spring like piece to hold the trim and the attaching part was a round, bullet shaped spring clip. Any body have a solution?

A few years ago he reproduced the rocker trim and clips he may still have some clips. Ron B
