Hood bumpers.

I am putting my 58 back together. The hood bumpers are getting me down. I have pushed, twisted and poked to get them in their mounting holes. I tried a thin screw driver and ripped the tab off. Anyone know a good way to get them mounted?

Try Vaseline. It works for me.

Put a little heat on the part of the bumper you're trying to insert with a propane torch and it will push right in.Don't burn it up.Paul
