Cigarette lighter for the 58 retractable

Greetings all.

Is there any information out there about replacing a missing cigarette lighter for the 58? Have now tried two purchases, both NOS and had to return both as neither will fit. Last dealer explained it was probably because the 58 had a 6 volt lighter and most of the Ford stock is 12 volt. He said the 6volt is very rare. Ugh.

Any possible resources for a 6volt cigarette lighter that fits the 58 or am I about to go down a rabbit hole on this one? Many thanks, all!

Tom,

Your 1958 Skyliner has a 12-volt system and a 12-volt cigarette lighter (not sure why the dealer would indicate your car has a 6-volt lighter, but he's mistaken).
Mac's auto parts has the lighter element and the knob as separate items:

Good luck with your replacement. These parts should fit unless for some reason your cigarette lighter socket has been replaced (highly unlikely).
