    Power steering fluid

What's the best stuff to use for the power steering now that I can't get type A transmission fluid?

Type F fluid is what I've always used.

    Cool ps leaks .

i'd forgotten this stuff so long ago .
When rebuilding your spool/valve , I was told by old linc /merc mechanic To ::
wet sand spool with soapy water and a worn piece of 1200 sand paper , sand it the easy way . Next Your new seals , will need Etched (soaked) in Dot 3 brake Fluid .
For 15 -20 min, "longer time " is not better . Install these Wet
With plenty of brake fluid on them .
    Hook it up ,
The First Fluid your system Should see Is : "duralube "engine oil treatment .
Pour 8 ounces in first let it run down 10 min or so ,then dump the type F
to fill it up .. Your Done . write this down . I won't live forever !
