    Buying a 59

We are in the process of buying a 59 with a rebuilt motor and trans. And new exhaust. It has no rust and has been sanded and is ready for paint and a new interior. The power top has to have some work too. I'm getting this car for $7,000. Is that a good price?

That's a very good buy, the rebuilt motor, transmission & exhaust are worth most of what you paid.

Thank you for responding. No one had responded and I started thinking we had paid too much.

Don't feel bad. This is a shy group. 7K is a good price. If you can figure out how to post pictures, post'm. Do you have the skills to put Humpty-Dumpty back together again?
My 59 is an absolute treat to work on compared to the 66 T-Bird it replaced. Never again do I buy a mid 60s Ford equipped with factory a.c. and power everything...especially a T-Bird.
I have most of the parts to install power brakes and air conditioning. It takes 5 minutes to swap a radio. Good Luck.
