    59 Bumper Guards

Yesterday I visited Jack's Auto Ranch here in southern Wisc. What did I find......laying
across the trunk lid of a 59 Sunliner....a crusty 59 front bumper & brackets with a
real nice pair of bumper guards with good rubber tips still attached.....all for a cool $100.
Such-a-deal!! One possible catch. They do not use existing bracket mounting holes 2 ea.
Is it necessary for me to drill new holes....or were they made for a different year?

The 59 bumper guards did require 2 holes and did not use the bumper bracket as one of them.
You made quite a deal even if they need replating it was a good price.

What a job with the rusty bolts. I need a 5/8" 1/2" drive impact socket and my breaker bar.
We have a big indoor swap meet on Sunday not far from here in SE Wisc. I hope to find a
    plater.

I found a plater.......and his business, card at a swap meet here in Wi in Feb. His samples on display were similar to my parts. He quoted me $100. for straightening
and chrome plating. That would make my total investment $300. + the rubber tips. Not bad.
