I seem to be getting excessive oil out of the breather tube. When I removed it and looked at the hole in the back of the intake , it did not seem to have any kind of filter or baffle to stop oil...
Since your speedometer is reading higher than you are traveling, it means your speedometer cable is turning to fast. To slow it down you need a gear with more teeth.
The best way to determine how far your speedometer is off, is to check it with a GPS. As far as to the number of teeth in the speedometer gear, you did not indicate whether the speedometer reads...
Since you are not changing anything, except converting mechanical points to electronic points, the timing will stay the same as with the original points.

Take the garnish moulding off the inside and you will find nuts that hold the trim on. But first you will need to remove the side pieces.
