I want to update this post. I found out that my Skyliner does have a GEN light. I believe it has a Motorcraft 3G alternator. Doing some research I now believe that these alternators used in original...
I have been reading the April issue of the Skyliner online. My paper version hasn't arrived yet. I haven't been able to find a way to vote yet. I didn't see the page that has the ballot that can be...
I want to thank you, our administrator for putting all the past magazine issues online, making them available to us. This must have been an enormous amount of work and I am slowly going through...
I want to clean out my rocker arm shafts but they have a plug in each end that must be removed to do the job. The removal will result in their destruction. Well I finally found a correct part number...
After reading the January issue online, I read where the annual roster will not automatically be mailed out unless it is requested. Does that include the current one which I am waiting for?

Welcome to the world of the beautiful Skyliners! Recently I adjusted the front roof locking nuts on my 57 Skyliner. Mine were too low and instead of turning down, ratcheting and moving the switch,...

This is the photo of my homemade tool.
I am attempting to attach a photo.
On my 57, if I remove the cover I think it was, I have access to the indicator pointer. Mine is just a piece of sheet metal secured by a screw and there is a thin tapered portion that serves as the...
I discovered that my front roof locks were not reaching the ratchet depth and thus the motor stalled while still receiving power. I believe this is very bad for the motor. So I adjusted the receiver...
Thankyou. I am quite happy to be driving it. I was able to buy the parts I needed from one of our members. Being a part of the club is a real bonus and I enjoy it.
The original master for the power brake setup had a larger bore. I believe the non power brake master bore was 1".
I purchased my 57 Skyliner from Alberta, Canada in March. I have just recently put it on the road and I am really enjoying my time with it.
I want to add something to this discussion for clarity. A smaller master bore creates a higher hydraulic pressure for the same force applied to the brake pedal.
Here is a link to the bleed instructions online. http://www.oldcarmanualproject.com/manuals/Ford/1958/Service/07/Group7/07-006.html
The shop manual explains how to bleed it. There is nothing special about it.
