Thanks Bill,
Great tip! Thanks again.
Bob.
I guess its long gone! I was looking at a '59 brochure & it seemed to pair the 332 with a 2.91.
What would be the normal gear ratio in the rear end of a '59 with a 332c.i. & a Fordomatic transmission?
Thanks, Bob.
I found the perfect O ring at a truck stop. I had to pay extra because it said "CAT", but it worked great!
Thanks everyone.
Thanks Steve,
I wasn't putting the top down, just backing it off the windshield. I just wasn't sure whether to leave it attached or back it off.
Bob.
Thanks Dave,
As soon as I siphon some gas from the tank, I'll replace the O ring.
My retractable is leaking fuel where the filler tube enters the tank. I know this was off during restoration & obviously wasn't put back correctly.
Since I now have the car, what is the right way to...

Thanks, Bob.

Thanks again,
I'll give it a shot & let you know, probably tomorrow
Bob.
Thanks Bill,
The parking lights work at the front, but no signal lights. I checked the brake switch, flasher, tail light connections, & fuses, all are ok. I took the steering wheel off & removed the...
Hi, I just got my '59 back from extensive restoration & when I took it out for a spin I realized that I had no signal lights, so I checked & found no brake lights either. When the lights are on I...
I think luggage sets are still available from Jerry's Classic Cars & Parts. Talk to Terry at 1-800-828-4584.
Too bad the 800 # doesn't work in Canada!
Bob.
Now your scaring me! I don't have a lot of money either, but the car is no good the way it is. I really have no choice. When Bill finishes the car I will decide whether I can keep it or have to...
I'll bet it wasn't a dry heat at the convention. Bill Nolan is going to take my '59 next month & hopefully finish what many people (they said they knew what they were doing), started. If he can,...
Hey Jim:
You can try Howard Voigt. He is in the roster as well. He used to winter in Arizona, so he might be there now. But you can probably reach him via email. Real interesting guy. I got mine...
Hi Jim,
As usual great info! Just as an aside, to remove stains & rust from chrome, take a scrunched up ball of tin foil & dip it in water, then rub the chrome piece vigorously. It will usually...
Thanks Bill,
I'll go to napa & give it a shot. Appreciate the help.
Bob.
Thanks Jim,
Your info. was great & much appreciated!
Bob.
Hi Jim,
If you could use the line where the floor meets the upswing of the firewall to the hole & also from the outside of the rocker panel to the hole, that should do the trick. Thanks for your...
