Speedometer bouncing

My speedometer on my 59 Skyliner started bouncing the other day.
How can I fix this ?

This works for me. Take the cable housing loose at the speedo and pull out the cable. Take a shop rag and put a wad of Vaseline in the rag. As you put the cable back in the housing, drag it through the Vaseline and hook it back up to the speedo. If this don't work you may have a speedo head problem or worn speedo gears at the transmission. Use extremely light oil on the speedo head if you have to lube it.
