top unlock

I have a 59, the top has been working fine other than occasionally the top not lifting after unlocking, after a couple tries it works. My current problem is the top will not unlock from the header, just clicks, it appears as though the front screws are locking as the rear ones are unlocking, anyone experience this condition? Looking forward to hearing from other retractable owners, thanks for any help, Larry

Larry: On page 8 of the 57 ford retractable hardtop shop manual. on the lower right of page (releasing quarter lock) That section will explain what is happening and where to go to trouble shooting chart to repair the problem.. If you don't have the manual you can get one through the I.F.R.C. They are inexpensive & a necessity if you have a skyliner..
