We are retrofitting a Ford AOD behind our 352 in our skyliner. Looking for any advice on the shift linkage that others have used for this retrofit. Lokar have both a cable and rod style kit, but they are telling me these kits only work between a GM column and AOD...not a Ford column. Not a transmission expert but thinking that as long as my lever arm on the shift on the column and the lever arm on the AOD are the same length, any cable or rod linkage should give me the correct movement between the gear detents. Anyone else out there that has done this retorfit and willing to share their experience?
